Your spouse is not a robot. You can't program them to be what you want them to be. You can only guide them and pray. Remind yourself of this.
The minute you agree to get married, you begin dreaming about what life is going to be like. Where you are going to live. How idyllic your life is going to be. Then it explodes from there.
It's okay to have expectations for your marriage. But leave room for individuality, time alone, and all the things that life is going to throw at you.
Command a robot to do something, it does something. Command a spouse to do something, they may not actually have the ability - or desire.
Spouses are not robots and it would be pretty boring if they were.
